About this property

There are leather sofas, a lovely electric woodburning-effect stove, a dining area, TV/DVD and CD player along with a selection of books and games to help you unwind.

Upstairs both bedrooms ooze charm and character with pitched roofs, exposed wooden beams and boarded wooden doors with traditional-style door furniture. The double and twin bedrooms have inviting beds and crisp white bed linen to help ensure an enjoyable stay.

Outside this Staintondale cottage, there is a private courtyard area at the rear with patio furniture and characterful, traditional stone walling; a lovely spot to sit and relax. The Falcon Innpub is less than 1 mile away from the property, serving food and drink.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity and take a walk along the many public footpaths accessible directly from the cottage and explore the stunning views of Staintondale with its picturesque countryside, forestry and coastal location. Visit the beaches, coves and beautiful local villages like Robin Hoods Bay or head down the cliff path at Ravenscar to see the large colony of seals, a wonderful way to view local wildlife in its natural habitat.

Drive to Whitby to view the bustling harbour and Whitby Abbey or head to Scarborough for the sweeping sandy beaches and interesting Sea Life Centre, there are so many options to keep you entertained.

It is secluded without being isolated. The owners are lovely people & always happy to guide & help if required. The cottage is lovely. Downstairs is open plan & a nice space. The garden is private & a good place to sit. The bedrooms are comfortable & well presented. Nice bath & power shower in the bathroom. Wonderful country & sea views from the bottom of the yard. Parking is off road & good. Situated just outside Scarborough & not too far from Whitby. One of my favourite places to be. Situated just inside the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Plenty of walking & cycling including Dalby Forest close by. Enjoyed our meal at the newly restored Falcon Inn at the bottom of the road. Highly recommend, everything !!

Just a shame we got snowed in for a day.

It really does offer all one could wish for in a holiday cottage and I would happily choose it for any future visits to the area.
