Bi-fold doors open out onto an enclosed, private and sheltered rear courtyard garden, which along with a small front patio, enables guests to enjoy the sunshine all day long. Steep cottage stairs lead up to two very pretty bedrooms, both with quirky low windows and quality linens, ensuring a good night's sleep. Warm, welcoming and seamlessly combining tradition with modern comforts, guests can't fail to appreciate the lovely ambience that this cottage exudes. Situated on a public bridleway, there are superb walking opportunities straight from the door, while just a five minute drive brings you into the centre of Scarborough. This popular and historic resort offers two sweeping sandy bays, joined by a long promenade, with the castle ruins perched high on the cliffs above. Stroll through the colourful ornamental gardens of Peasholm Park, visit the museums or have fun on the amusements. Culture lovers will be impressed by the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round, which features excellent productions, or the large open air theatre which hosts many well-known bands. There are many excellent country pubs serving food within a fifteen minute drive as well as a wide range of restaurants in the town itself. The stunning surrounding countryside is well worth exploring, with its heather-clad moors, delightful coastal villages and wonderful network of footpaths and trails to follow. Altogether, a superb base for a varied and interesting holiday at any time of the year.
