This wonderful lodge benefits from a welcoming, open-plan interior completed by two well-appointed bedrooms, spectacular on-site facilities including indoor pool with waterslide, amusement arcade, mini golf and multi-sports court and a fabulous location close to the breath-taking coast and picturesque countryside of North York Moors National Park; the perfect setting for families or friends. Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and unwind on either of the plush sofas in front of the TV while the designated chef of the group gets acquainted with the fully-equipped kitchen. Savour their culinary creations around the dining table while reminiscing on the cherished memories you have created so far, or if weather permits, step outside to enjoy the meal alfresco upon the private decking. When the evening draws to a close, wash off the day’s adventures in the sleek shower room before sloping off to sleep in either the king-size with en-suite cloakroom or the twin. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic setting venture to the shores of Cayton Bay where you can soak up the sun, splash around with the kids or simply enjoy a leisurely walk in the sea air while admiring the impressive views across the North Sea. Alternatively, follow the coast to reach Scarborough, here you can tour the impressive ruins of Scarborough Castle, stroll around its beautiful harbour and Peasholm Park or treat your loved ones to fish and chips upon the glorious shores of Scarborough Beach. Other notable, nearby attractions include the grand Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Rudstone Monolith and Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast. There are also a plethora of walking opportunities including the Cleveland Way, the Cinder Track and a myriad of meandering trails woven throughout North York Moors National Park. Experience all this and more at Drake 59.

Cayton, a civil parish and small village in the Scarborough borough of North Yorkshire, is a great place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea because of the abundance of local services and attractions. A number of wwii relics, such as pillboxes that have been eroded by the sea, can be found dotted around the village. There is a good selection of pubs and shops in the village, making it ideal for those who prefer to cook for themselves, but those looking for waterfront dining options should head to nearby Scarborough, a bustling resort town with activities for visitors of all ages. Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum of geology are great places to learn about the region's history, and the town's sandy beaches are dotted with amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, seafood stands, and beach huts, perfect for a nostalgic day at the beach. Peasholm Park is a sight to behold, and the North York Moors National Park is even more magical, with one of the largest stretches of heather moorland, remarkable landscapes, wonderful wildlife, and plenty of heritage delights spread out along walking and cycling routes for all abilities. Cayton is a quaint village with easy access to the larger towns of Filey, Flamborough, and Malton, all of which offer visitors a wealth of attractions and activities during their stay.

Well equipped and comfortable. Our only downside was that there wasn’t a clear path to the caravan and due to picking the worst weekend in regards to weather, we had to plod our way through very wet and muddy grass to get to the caravan.

Great Elevated Position. Clean, Comfortable, Modern. The Caravan Site was Good with a Nice Pub Nearby called the 'Towbar'. The Boathouse Restaurant/Bar (on site) ... Expensive Drinks but Pleasant. Lovely Location Nice Bay/Beach 15 Minutes Walk. All Amenities Were Very Dog Friendly :-) Overall We Had a Lovely Week at Cayton Bay and Would Highly Recommend. Thank You 5* Plus.

I used a kitchen draw for my clothes as no storage. lack of hair dryer .the caravan was in the middle row with an expanse of grass to cross which was hard with a wheelchair for my 101 year old mum. In a nutshell beautiful caravan, beautiful patio, poor storage no hair dryer.
