Walk along the coast, cycle through the Wolds or sit and enjoy the courtyard garden with a barbecue, outdoor hot tub and your own private bar. There is a cafe, takeaways, pub, small supermarket and an excellent deli within walking distance. Hunmanby Gap is just over two miles away, with Filey and Scarborough within easy reach.

Each of the three self-catering holiday homes in the Yorkshire Wolds sleeps six people in three bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 18 people and amenities that include a hot tub, games room, Sky TV and a private bar. You're within walking distance of shops, cafes, Hunmanby's village church and pub, and just over two miles from the spectacular Yorkshire coast. Whether catching up with far-flung friends or planning an unforgettable multi-generational Christmas, Lucasland Holiday Cottages provides an authentic Yorkshire welcome in all seasons.

Hunmanby has everything you want from a Yorkshire village, including the ruins of a medieval motte and bailey castle a few hundred metres from your holiday home on the descriptively-named Castle Hill. The castle is almost modern by Hunmanby standards! Dating back centuries before the Domesday Book, it has seen occupation by Romans and Vikings who used to hunt wolves on the wolds. Footpaths running through or close to the village include the Centenary Way and Wolds Way. It takes about three hours to walk along the coast to Filey, with the option of taking a five-minute train trip if you're too tired to walk back. Another favourite local walk is a circular route from Hunmanby Gap to Speeton and Reighton. Cyclists have the Wolds Cycle Way and a choice of bridleways and mountain bike tracks for off-road fun.

The scale of the beaches here is mind-boggling. Hunmanby Gap is never busy and dog-friendly all year round. The better-known resorts of Filey and Scarborough have traditional seaside amusements and amenities with lots going on during the summer holidays. Local attractions include Filey's Bird Garden and Animal Park, the Scarborough Fair Collection and Vintage Transport Museum, and the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery.

There is another cottage a few metres from the renovated barns that make up Lucasland Holiday Cottages. Denmark House is a Grade-II listed holiday home accommodating eight guests. When booked together, these four properties sleep up to 26 people. Lucasland Holiday Cottages are not let individually.

Accommodation Comprises:

The Lucasland complex consists of three barns beautifully converted into comfortable holiday homes. The cottages have similar facilities, with one cottage having a bedroom and wetroom accessible for guests who use a wheelchair. You can expect:

A master bedroom with a double bed, storage and an ensuite shower room.

Second bedroom with a double bed and storage.

Third bedroom furnished with two full-sized single beds and decorated in a neutral style to suit children or adults.

Family bathroom featuring a shower over the bath, WC a handbasin.

Open plan living space with original features like stone walls and exposed oak beams. The seating area has comfortable seating and a flatscreen TV with Freeview channels.

Between the kitchen and the seating/TV area is a solid wood dining table to seat six people.

Fitted kitchen fully equipped for self-catering, including a dishwasher.

The icing on the cake is your very own pub where you can pull your own pints! This well-equipped space has a Sky TV including Sky Sports, a pool table, table football, and darts.

Outside: The courtyard garden has a patio with seating and a barbecue, and an eight-person hot tub. A separate room houses your private pub furnished with a table large enough for 18 people, Sky TV including Sky Sports, a pool table and a dartboard. Guests have ample off-street parking.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included with the hire of Lucasland Holiday Cottages. Well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not allowed in any of the properties on site.
