About this property

Filey 3 miles. This modern, mid-terrace property is situated on the The Bay holiday village, just three miles from the traditional seaside town of Filey. With welcoming and comfortable accommodation, the cottage is ideal for families wishing to enjoy the extensive on-site facilities within a short walk of a beautiful, long sandy beach. The bright and cheerful sitting room has a dining area to one end and French doors that open onto a small patio, a perfect sunny spot to enjoy a morning coffee before heading off for the day. With a contemporary bathroom and well-equipped kitchen, families are well catered for. Outside are expansive communal grounds with two lakes, barbecues and picnic areas for guests to enjoy. On the complex is a leisure centre with a large indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room, which guests have unlimited access to. Outdoor pursuits include tennis courts, a fishing lake and putting green. If you just want to relax, enjoy a coffee in the on-site Italian cafe/pizzeria or a meal in the pub. A pleasant ten minute stroll brings you to the glorious Blue Flag beach, where you can walk for miles on the golden sands, perfect for children building sandcastles and paddling in the sea. Nearby Filey can't fail to please, with its old world charm, pretty promenades and unique Coble Landing. This traditional seaside resort is so family friendly, with its brightly painted beach huts, donkey rides and play parks. Enjoy an invigorating clifftop walk above Filey Brigg or spend an afternoon in Filey Bird Garden and the Animal Park. A little further along the coast lies Flamborough Head and Bempton RSPB Reserve, abounding with nesting seabirds on the chalk cliffs, including puffins in the summer months, a sight not to be missed. With the larger resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington close by and the rolling countryside of the Wolds to explore, this well-placed holiday cottage provides the perfect base for a family holiday.

Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths, and ginnels.

The only critism would be that the cleanliness could have been better. Dirty plates in the cupboard and dirt and dust in some places. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely return.

30 and it wasn't cleaned so no probs we popped to the beach. Got back 3.30 still hadn't been cleaned. Rang the owner left a voicemail rang the cleaner oh it's not one of mine it's my brother's but I'll get someone there. No apologies. 4.00 they arrived. No apologies again so we left them to it and went to the pub for a drink and to calm down. I have stayed at this property before and it's in an ideal location I just wanted someone to be sorry. It said on the wall there should be a welcome pack well there was no milk no biscuits and 3 tea bags.

We love to visit The Bay and have been going for years. We are quite picky with our accommodation as we have high standards so it’s nice when you find somewhere suitable. When we had a slight issue the owner dealt with it promptly and politely.
