Surrounded by the farm’s moor flock of Swaledale and Cheviot sheep, the property offers traditional and cosy features like comfy sofas, velvet cushions, a wood burner and exposed beams, along with extras such as broadband, USB plug sockets and a Smart Freesat TV.  Owned by the Sherratt-Wordsworth family since the 1930s, the dwelling has been redesigned for its new life as a holiday cottage, removing a wall to make a light-filled, open and airy downstairs, and creating a new staircase for better access to the upper twin bedroom, with its skylight gazing up to the stars.  The cottage has also been renovated from top to bottom with a blend of farmhouse and Georgian furniture and Victorian pictures.  There are two lovely bedrooms – one with a kingsize bed, the other . . .
