Make yourself at home in the bright and airy open plan living space, home to a comfortable living area with large flat screen Smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen sits to one end, housing all the essential appliances and a sociable breakfast bar with comfortable raised seating provides the perfect place to gather for a family breakfast or a leisurely evening meal after a long day on the beach. Pods for the Nespresso coffee machine can be purchased from the local supermarket (old style pods). For convenience, a WC is tucked away under the stairs. To the first floor are three beautifully presented bedrooms consisting of a super king size, with zip and link option available for twin beds, a king size double and a room with traditional bunk beds. Two of the bedrooms have TV’s, so you can relax and enjoy a late night movie! The first floor also features a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. A door from the kitchen area leads out onto a private patio area with seating; ideal for an early morning coffee or a glass, or two of your favourite holiday tipple on a sunny afternoon. Step outside and the beautiful Glen Gardens are on your doorstep.
Here you can find a café, formal gardens, winding footpaths and a pitch and put as well as footgolf; a great place for children to let of steam and enjoy running free. From here you can walk down to the vast sands of Filey Beach. With five miles of beach, a host of rock pools to explore at low tide and a traditional promenade, you’ll not tire of something to do. Schedule in a visit to Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, home to many exotic residents or take a walk to Flamborough Head to enjoy the stunning scenery. Within the town centre you can find a plethora or tea rooms, restaurants, amusements arcades and pubs. There’s also a wide choice of convenience stores. A little further afield the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds and breath-taking beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are waiting to be explored. Poppywinkle is in an ideal location and so close to seafront, convenient for driving with safe parking, walking distance to train and bus and beautiful walks. Very comfortable and found everything I needed for a week's stay.Easy walk to town for all amenities. Could do with more thorough cleaning...windows, skirtings, general dusting and attention to detail other wise surface clean.Would stay there again should I return to Filey.

A really well located cottage .we were just a little taken aback on entering as the unemptied vacuum was plugged in and in the middle of the room ,which was a bit disconcerting.We also needed to wash out some cutlery ,glasses and cups which were quite badly stained.HOWEVER ,once settled in we were really happy .The bed linen ,towels and everything else were fresh and the cottage was great and would return .
