For a fun and activity packed beach day get down to Filey Beach, a 5-mile stretch of golden sands, ride horses along the beach, explore the rock pools with the little ones, or hire a classic beach hut to relax in. The Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast is within easy driving distance where scenic stretches of white chalk cliffs can be discovered on a coastal hike as well as a spot of birdwatching as you come upon historic lighthouses. Set between Bridlington and Scarborough, you are perfectly situated to explore all that this area of the North Yorkshire coast has to offer. Take a trip to Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park to walk around the gardens and look at some lovely species of bird, or immerse yourself in the local history by heading to the Filey Museum where historical displays, antiques and fossils are shown in exhibits.
