Situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and just a short drive from Scarborough, is this fully renovated, charming semi-detached cottage. Set over three floors, it provides cosy accommodation in a pretty village setting for a family or couples looking to explore this area. The ground floor consists of a spacious open-plan living space with kitchen, sitting and dining areas.It features a stone and brick feature fireplace with a woodburning stove, and a large corner sofa, offering a comfortable spot for relaxing. Under the stairs there is a dining area, with an extendable table and next to that is the fully-appointed kitchen. On the first floor there is a recently refurbished family bathroom, with an indulgent rainfall shower over the bath. On this floor there you'll also find one of the property's two pleasing bedrooms, a spacious double. On the second floor is the second bedroom, with twin single beds, which are zip/link and can be a king size double bed on request. Outside there is a small gravel area with patio furniture at the front of the property, a lovely spot for relaxing with your morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening. Cloughton is an attractive village consisting of rows of traditional cottages and a few popular country pubs serving traditional fare. There are a number of walking trails that pass through or nearby the village, such as the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way. A short drive away is the seaside resort of Scarborough, offering plenty of attractions and things to do, as well as cafes, restaurants and quirky shops. 2 Church Cottages is the ideal place to stay for anyone looking for a relaxing break in the Yorkshire countryside.

Cloughton lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, just a short drive from the popular seaside resort of Scarborough. The village is a collection of cottages and a couple of traditional country pubs serving delicious fare. There are a number of trails leading through or past the village, including the 'Cinder Track', a disused 23 mile long railway track, that's now used for walking, cycling and horse riding. There is easy access to the Cleveland Way long distance trail that hugs the cliff top as it winds its way to Hayburn Wyke, a rocky cove with a waterfall and inn, Robin Hood's Bay and beyond to the north and south to Scarborough. A popualr destination since Victorian times, this vibrant seaside town retains many of its original attractive buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two superb stretches of beautiful, sandy beaches, popular with families and small children. There are a number of child friendly activities and many excellent visitor attractions for grown-ups too, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music. Ideally situated for touring the coastline and the moors, Scarborough is an ideal base for a fun-filled break.
