About this Holiday Bungalow

Kelvin Holiday Bungalow is a two bedroom property in the charming traditional village of Thornton-le-Dale, on the southern edge of the North York Moors just off the A170.  The village is famed as one of Yorkshire's prettiest, and the bungalow sits in a quiet residential area only a short walk from the centre with a selection of independent shops, fine inns, restaurants and cafes.  Country walks and cycling trails into the National Park are direct from your door, and you're just a short distance from Dalby Forest cycling.  Pick-up the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway at nearby Pickering only a 10 minute drive away.

Furnished to a high standard with all modern 'home from home' essentials.

Open plan living and dining room with comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and internet access.

Modern fitted kitchen with a microwave, toaster, an electric cooker, fridge, crockery and utensils.

Gardens are situated to the front and the rear.  Ample parking is available onsite.

We include all bed linen.  Sorry no pets please and accommodation is strictly non-smoking throughout.

Availability

Changeover day is usually a Saturday.  A deposit of £100 secures your booking.  The remainder of the balance is due 8 weeks prior to your holiday start date.  Short breaks are available off peak.

Around and About

Thornton-le-Dale village is a real Yorkshire gem, home to the much photographed Beck Isle Cottage, and featuring a great selection of inns, cafes, an ice cream parlour and quirky venues including a chocolate factory. 

Ideal as a southern gateway into the North York Moors, the village sits close to Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (10 minute drive).  Other popular nearby attractions include Flamingo Land theme park (15 minutes), Eden Camp military and social history museum (10 minute drive) and the spectacular Castle Howard Estate (20 minute drive). 

Cycling and walking trails, and the Go Ape Activity Centre in Dalby Forest are a short distance away.  Whitby, Scarborough and the Yorkshire Coast are also within easy driving distance - the bungalow sits just off the A170 Scarborough to Pickering road. 

York city centre is within a 40 minute drive and beautiful North York Moors villages and market towns are just on your doorstep including Helmsley, Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Hutton le Hole and Goathland.
