We have stayed at Hallgarth many times always enjoy our stay and sad to leave. The house is clean, very well equipped and there is plenty of space for a family of 10. The location is a perfect base to visit lots of beautiful places. Pickering has walks, nice tea rooms our favourite being Bothams and restaurants. Figaros just by the church steps is good. You can take the steam train through to Whitby but it is busy in the school holiday so please arrive early to get a seat. Thornton le Dale is a short drive away offering lovely tea shops, ice cream and the chocolate factory. Whitby is a nice drive over the Moors and you can visit Goathland along the way. Falling Foss waterfall is also beautiful and has a nice outside tea room.

What a beautiful house. Once we had unpacked, and made a coffee, we were so in love with Hallgarth that we booked again for Easter 2027. A perfect house for a family holiday with our grown up children, their spouses, and the grandchildren. Plenty of room and an amazing kitchen where we could all cook together. So much to see you would need a lifetime in Yorkshire to see it all. Ever changing scenery, beautiful walks and a lovely home away from home to return to each day.
