Other superb day trips include Flamingo Land, just 5 miles, Dalby Forest (for hiking, mountain biking and Go Ape adventures), 4. 5 miles, and Castle Howard, 14 miles, where you’ll find an award-winning adventure playground. Scarborough and Filey are both within 20.5 miles.

For dreamy nights, the king-size bed is fixed in one corner, with custom-made bunk beds at the rear – all with pocket-sprung Hypnos mattresses for superior rest. Completing this appealing interior is a wet-room-style shower room (with hot and cold water plus a standard flushing WC) where you’ll have the scented delights of complementary Cole & Lewis toiletries.
