Summertree Farm is positioned in a secluded, quiet area just 2 miles from the beautiful, picture postcard village of Thornton-le-Dale in the North York Moors. These two lovely, modern cottages have been converted from original farmyard buildings and date back to the 1940’s. One of the cottages is on the ground floor and sleeps two, making them ideal for people with limited mobility. The other cottage is an upside down cottage sleeping four people with the spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area on the first floor to take advantage of the lovely views. Both cottages are very well-equipped and have a lot of character and charm and can be booked separately or together for larger parties.
Summertree Farm provides a perfect base for couples and families looking to explore the beautiful areas around North Yorkshire and the pretty villages dotted around the North Yorkshire Moors. The surrounding area is a haven for walkers, cyclists and dog owners with some beautiful countryside walks direct from the cottage. Both cottages have their own private garden where you can sit out and enjoy the afternoon sun, whilst enjoying the lovely views of the surrounding open countryside.Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Beautiful quirky upside down cottage. Cleanliness absolutely exemplary.In a good position Pickering 10 mins one way Malton 10 mins other.Great Community Park in Pickering for kids & dog walking. 8 mins away.Cottage not really suitable for people with mobility issues due to the stairs & the toilet being on the ground floor.Enjoyed my stay visited St Mary's Priory Church Old Malton Christmas Eve service was lovely its even dog friendly took my little pooch Nessie along. Bernadette the owner very helpful and left some lovely welcoming items.

Great place, great cottage great hosts.Had a really nice week here very good location and local shops just 5 mins away.Pool was enjoyed immensely by grandchildren.Host on site is a huge benefit over and above an anonymous owner with a key safe on the door.All in all would throughly recommend.

The ‘Granary’ was an excellent ‘upside down’ cottage situated half way between Thornton le Dale and Malton. Both towns provided lovely walks( especially for the dog) and lovely shops and eateries.Bernadette and Bob were the perfect hosts and we would be more than happy to return for a second visit.NYM is a superb area offering an inexhaustible number of engaging activities.Steve and Rhona
