This terraced cottage is situated close to the town of Malton in North Yorkshire. The cottage is perfect for enjoying the beautiful surrounding countryside of the North York Moors National Park, with easy access to the east coast resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey. From the front door of this lovely cottage you enter the well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with dining area where you can enjoy home-cooked meals. This leads through to the sitting room which has comfortable seating with TV, DVD and WiFi and also a beautiful Opti-myst electric fire. There is also a downstairs cloakroom on this floor. Proceed up the stairs where there is a beautiful double bedroom with en-suite shower, another double bedroom and a single bedroom together with a family bathroom. Outside, you can relax in the enclosed garden with a book and a refreshing drink whilst planning your days activities for the rest of your holiday. Visit the beautiful market town of Malton where you will find excellent restaurants, inns and tea rooms. There are also a good selection of galleries and antique shops with the weekly market being held in the central square. If you wish to explore historical homes, just a little further away from the cottage there is Castle Howard, Scampton Hall and Duncombe Park. Alternatively, take a trip back in time on the North York Moors steam railway which you catch in Pickering. Take a train at Malton and spend a great day in York or try a river cruise on the Ouse. A great base for exploring this lovely part of the country.

It was spottlessly clean which is very important to us.There was all you needed in the property for a comfortable home from home feeling. also we were within easy striking distance of all the sightseeing places that we wanted to see, York,Whitby, Thornton Le Dale and of course the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Meg,the cottage owner even arranged fantastic weather for us during the whole stay. Would highly recommend this property.
