There were one or two tiny improvements that could be made, which I will touch on later, but none of them detracted from this cottage receiving five stars. Location: Stunning. That's the only word I can use to describe the surroundings, from the rolling hillsides opposite the cottage, to the hedges and fields behind. The cottage is on a working farm and therefore isolated, but this was ideal for us as it's what we wanted. Cottage: Amazing. You're greeted by a large seating area, with flagstone floors and a grandfather clock slowly ticking away in the corner. Go up a couple of steps in you enter the main living area which comprises a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room space. The kitchen has plenty of cupboards, a dishwasher, a washing machine, etc. The dining table can seat ten or more people, and the living room area has ample seating for everyone. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed. There is also a bathroom downstairs next to the bedroom which has a shower, toilet and sink. There are three bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom is accessed via the stairs between the entrance room and the main living area. This a large and very roomy bedroom. There is another set of stairs leading up from the entrance room that leads to two further bedrooms, one which has two single beds and a cot. We were also welcomes with a bottle of prosecco, some milk and some bread. The niggly bits I spoke about earlier, which didn't detract from our stay, are as follows. 1) No logs or kindling for the open fire in the living room. 2) The orange gas lighter didn't work, I believe it needed gas adding to it. 3) The batteries in the remote control seemed to be failing as the TV was hard to work, but there were no fresh batteries anywhere. In the downstairs bedroom there is a TV, but the remote control only had a single battery in it rather than two. In the kitchen, it would have helped if there were some basic grocery items available, such as tea, coffee, condiments, cooking oil, etc. These are only minor things but would have enhanced our stay. That said, I'm more than happy to give the cottage five stars and would definitely recommend it to others.

Friendly but not intrusive, nice geese and sheep, warm, comfy and peaceful. Good dog friendly pub only 10 minutes walk away.

We had 4 toddlers with us who absolutely loved it and the house is great, the pictures don't do it justice! The house is old so can be quite noisy but it's in such a lovely location and for a very reasonable price. Thank you for a lovely stay.
