The surrounding views and peacefulness are consistently highlighted, alongside the warm welcome from the owners.

About this property

A delightful semi-detached barn conversion situated on a traditional hill farm in Farndale. Boasting a large farmhouse kitchen with a delightful sitting and dining area, open fire and exposed beams in the second sitting room, The Old Cart House provides superb accommodation. Walkers and mountain bikers will be spoiled for choice with bridleways, tracks and footpaths through magnificent open moors and countryside. The towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, and picturesque Hutton-le-Hole are also all within easy reach. The perfect location for a wonderful holiday. Note: The Old Cart House can be booked with Ref 1391, together they sleep 16.

The beautiful valley of Farndale is in the North York Moors National Park, with the old Rosedale Ironstone Railway winding around the northern end of the dale and two small communities at Low Mill and Church Houses. Farndale is famous for the spectacular carpet of wild daffodils in the springtime and approximately 35,000 people come to see this amazing sight. The ancient market town of Kirkbymoorside is 10 miles away and has a good selection of shops and eateries. Pickering is 17 miles away and is home to the North York Steam Railway with trains running to Grosmont. Hutton-le-Hole is close by and home to the Ryedale Folk Museum, which is a worthwhile visit.
