Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, excellent showers, and ample parking. The enclosed garden is a bonus for dog owners. Some minor issues were noted, such as limited dining seating for larger groups, minimal festive decorations, and occasional cleanliness concerns, but overall, the property offers a pleasant and practical stay in a charming village setting.

Most guests found the property clean and fresh, with comfortable beds and well-maintained bathrooms. However, a few mentioned that some areas, such as the annexe and shower screens, could have been cleaner.

The cottage is set in the picturesque village of Harome, close to lovely walks, local pubs, and just a short drive from Helmsley, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.

Guests highlighted the spaciousness, comfortable beds, good heating, and quality showers. Some suggested improvements to the lounge layout and TV size for cosier evenings, but overall comfort was rated highly.

The property is well-equipped with a good kitchen, utility area, and ample parking. There were some suggestions for more dining chairs, a larger TV, and additional touches like a coffee machine, but the facilities generally met guests' needs.

While the property is practical and functional, guests noted a lack of personal or thoughtful touches, such as minimal Christmas decorations and no welcome gifts. Please note that gifts are not guaranteed.

Wonderful house. Fixtures and fittings are to a very high standard. Harome is a beautiful place. Only niggle is the property sleeps 10 yet only 6 dining and outdoor chairs are available.

This house could be made so much better. There are very little personal touches, so it is a comfortable property to stay in, but does not have any wow factor. Firstly the room layout does not work, with one sofa not in view of the very small TV. No cosy family nights in on chilly evenings. But this could be remedied quite easily with a new large l shaped sofa and decent TV If the island was extended and the dining table smaller, a separate snug could be formed, giving larger groups a quiet area away from the living room. Decorated at Christmas, was very minimal a false tree with a few baubles and a plastic wreath in the dining room window. We have clearly been spoiled by other owners and holiday companies. As part of our group were in the annexe this could have been much cleaner and warmer. Maybe some stepping stones to avoid walking on the lawn in winter. Also the house itself, shower screens and bathrooms were not very clean. Missing a coffee machine and a radio in the kitchen, but we took our own. That said, the beds and linen were very comfortable. Great showers and lots of hot water. The house was very warm and good utility area with washing machine and extra storage. An entrance area from the front door for coats and boots. Parking on the drive and straight outside the house. Great enclosed garden for the dogs, which I am sure is beautiful in summer. The area itself is beautiful with lovely walks and the pheasant and star a few minutes stroll away. Helmsley just 3 miles away I would recommend saxon house but more for the area rather than the house itself. I think the property could be so much better

Great location, with ample parking outside - easy drive to the nearby town for supplies if needed. Good size property, with two showers in the main house was an excellent bonus! Lounge, kitchen and dining room were all suitable for 8 / 9 people to either eat, chat or watch tv which was also appreciated. Garden area is a good size for a bbq and enjoying the weather. Would definitely recommend!
