Lovely well equipped cosy cottage with plenty of room. Fabulous garden for the dogs. Excellent location in a nice village with two good pubs/restaurants and also a shop and coffee shop. Great walks from the doorstep. Very clean and tidy and well thought out. Only reason it’s not 5 star is that the bathrooms were reasonable but a bit tired and could do with being updated to make it 5/5

Bedale cottage provides excellent accommodation, and is generally well maintained but will need attention soon for such items as non closing windows and misting glazing units. The kitchen is large and well equipped but again attention to the aging appliances will soon be needed. Investment in the property is needed to maintain the excellent standard that was originally intended. The biggest disappointment was that the garden had not been maintained (photos attached) with unkept plants and dead leaves around the garden and patio. Also rubbish bins had not been emptied and a loose rubbish sack had been "got at" by animals with contents loose. Not a great arrival sight. Having said that a call to Yorkshire Hideaways resulted in a quick response and rectification. Rectify maintenance and retain high standards and this is a lovely holiday cottage.
