Spanning two floors, the ground floor dining room incorporates a snooker/pool table along with a selection of games, whilst the living room houses a multi-fuel stove, which is perfect for those cooler months and early evenings. To the rear of the property, a pretty cottage garden with patios overlooks the tumbling waters of the River Bain, reputedly the shortest river with a waterfall, and offers privacy and seclusion.

We had a brilliant week at The Old Post Office. It was warm, clean and cosy. The pool table was a big hit with the kids and the wood burner kept us warm and cosy through the bad weather. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and more and we found it clean and in good condition. Location was great for local walks and attractions.

Had to spend two hours on arrival to clean parts of the property and open all windows to air the place to reduce the musty smellDid ring to log complain on 02/10 after arrival and was effectively told that this was " an old property"The furniture in the living room is tired and jaded and ,although these items are shown in the photos for the property, the photos are clearly taken some time agoWould also suggest new carpets throughout and a trip to the DIY store as the whole place needs repaintingWe have visited many properties in the Dales oner the last 25 years and felt this was amongst the poorest re value for moneyDid notice it had a "Customer Award", but can only assume that this is as genuine and deserved as a Man City Premier League title
