Guests reported cobwebs and dust in some areas, with one mentioning the need for a deep clean. Cleanliness was satisfactory for some, but others expected better standards.

The location is praised for its beautiful scenery and proximity to the village, with good dining options and local walks. However, it may not be ideal for small children due to the busy road.

A lovely cottage in a good location but in need of a bit of general maintenance / TLC - the blind in one bedroom is broken, the stair carpet has a hole in and the window in the main bedroom has a broken catch so does not close. This was reported after a draughty first night and a temporary fix was done. The owner said the window company had been contacted but nothing could be done the week we were staying. Hopefully this has can be rectified for the next guests. It would have been nice if the cobwebs in the bathroom and kitchen had been removed and the crumbs in the kitchen cupboards and wine rack had been cleaned. The kitchen cupboard doors would also have benefited from a wipe. The For Sale sign that was put up just before we left perhaps explains the comments above.Having said all of that, we had some lovely walks from the cottage and enjoyed a couple of good meals at The Fox.

Although the accommodation was very good for me and my wife the bed in the master bedroom was too hard for us but all the rest was of a high standard.A little more help sourcing the wood for the burner would have been a great help.

Lovely barn conversation overlooking a field at rear, which had pheasants and occasional hare in it. Very comfortable place and convenient for village via path opposite house. Probably wouldn’t recommend for small children as the entrance is onto busy road on bad bend. We really enjoyed our stay. Ate in Fox and Hounds in village (friendly and decent food) The Saddle Room ( classy but not expensive) and 3 Horse Shoes ( tasty food)
