Snaptrip says

Sunshine Cottage is consistently praised for its warm, comfortable atmosphere and its peaceful, scenic location in the Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space and the thoughtful touches like fresh milk and biscuits. While most reviews highlight the cleanliness, there is a mention of the property needing some attention and a more thorough clean on one occasion.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be extremely clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, one review mentioned the property was not clean upon arrival, indicating a need for more consistent cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for being quiet and peaceful, with easy access to local walks and amenities in Leyburn. The scenic views and proximity to Wensleydale and Swaledale make it an ideal base for exploring.

Guests describe the cottage as warm, homely, and comfortable, with spacious beds and a south-facing terrace. However, one review noted the beds were too low for someone with limited mobility, slightly affecting the comfort score.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, but some guests noted a lack of information manuals and minor wear and tear. There were also comments on the need for better kitchen equipment and maintenance issues like a cracked shower tray.

While guests have mentioned appreciating the fresh milk and biscuits provided, there are not enough reviews discussing additional thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Leyburn, with its shops, cafes and pubs, Wensley and Redmire are all within easy walking distance. The cottage is warm and comfortable, with all the facilities we required in good working order. The beds are large and comfortable and there is always a plentiful supply of hot water. The large fridge freezer was very useful, as we always take a good selection of chilled and frozen food on holiday. We had a very enjoyable week, in spite of the weather and will be booking again some time next year.

However, we picked it because it was wheelchair friendly so we assumed it was disabled friendly. Unfortunately not - the shower had a 6-8 inch step to get in and the beds were too low for someone with limited mobility. Also, the gate to the ramp was fastened closed. Just need to he careful how you market it. It's in a lovely location and would be great for fully able bodied people.
