This delightful period home is located on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and offers a spacious retreat perfect for large groups of friends and families. The host town of Middleham is renowned for its history and racehorses. Much of the history surrounds its Norman castle – explore its ruins after watching the famous horses make their way to the gallops each morning. The town’s market square offers a range of shops, pubs, and places to eat, while the bustling market town of Leyburn (2 miles) offers a greater variety of boutiques, restaurants, cafes and pubs. While in Leyburn, explore the popular Forbidden Corner (2.5 mile) where a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and other surprises are set
across 4 acres of peaceful grounds. For outdoor enthusiasts, reach the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, and the valleys of Wensleydale all within 30 miles. A 2025 renovation has added a spectacular, sophisticated design to this well-appointed home perfect for large groups. Step through the front door and into the enchanting entrance hall with period tiled flooring, ample storage, and historic decor and furnishings. Make your way into the magnificent lounge, an elegant room with a bay window, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, an open fire, and stone flooring. Open the double doors into the grand dining room with an impressive table, alongside art and stylish lighting. The back door leads to a courtyard space for socialising inside and out. The welcoming kitchen is beautifully designed with a central breakfast table, plenty of storage, a door leading outside, plus a washing machine for convenience. There is a sauna tucked away here, offering a special addition to this magnificent property. Venture up the spiral staircase to find one of many hidden rooms – a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and spectacular views out to Middleham Castle. Returning to the main hallway, a corridor leads off to another beautiful double room set next to a spacious bathroom with a roll-top bath. Venture further into the house and find more restful bedrooms – a king-size bedroom, a single bedroom with an optional trundle bed, a super-king-size room with an en-suite shower room, and another super-king-size bedroom with a roll-top bath, en-suite shower room, and more views of Middleham Castle. The main bathroom boasts a double-size Jacuzzi-style bath and separate shower. Completing the interior is the second-floor bedroom which is perfect for sleepovers thanks to its three single beds, additional bunk bed, and en-suite shower room.
Outside, make full use of the charming walled courtyard – offering the perfect overflow space from the dining room.
