It was incredibly comfortable, clean and well equipped. The views were amazing and the setting was perfect. It was just a short stroll to the city centre and there were some good walks in close proximity too. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Nice and quiet and warm. Evening though there's large rooms and high ceilings. Within beautiful grounds. Clean and comfortable. You will not get better in this area.

The entrance hall and floating staircase are akin to those found in stately homes - we visited Beningbrough Hall during our vacation and found ourselves favourably comparing Highfield House with such National Trust properties! The whole building is amazing and Apartment 6 is beautifully furnished and luxuriously appointed. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is second to none. There's even a tap giving instant boiling water! An excellent base from which to explore the lovely town of Ripon and all the various countryside villages in this special part of God's own country - which of course is Yorkshire!
