About this property
The Stables is the perfect cottage for family holidays, located just five minutes from the market town of Masham, home to both Theakstons and Black Sheep breweries. Situated in a wonderful, quiet, rural location at Hill Top Farm in Grewelthorpe, this hideaway enjoys the perks of this nine acre small holding with a small flock of Ryeland sheep as neighbours, and a few hens that provide guests with very tasty eggs.
Renovated in 2013, The Stables offers warm and comfortable, ground floor accommodation. Boasting underfloor heating and everything else you might need to make you feel right at home, The Stables is a joy to return to after daily adventures in the Yorkshire Dales or exploring the stunning scenery.
The open-plan, well-appointed sitting and dining room area features a welcoming wood burning stove making it a great space to share time together with loved ones. The spacious kitchen provides everything you need to enjoy your holiday with the added benefit of an outside boot and utility room to the front of the cottage. The spacious master bedroom hosts a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, and enjoys rural views across the rear garden. The second bedroom offers twin single beds and en-suite bathroom with hand held shower overhead. Be sure to take in this amazing location from every window and look out for barn owls, buzzards and much more wildlife throughout the seasons.
Outside, the very sheltered rear patio is a great place to enjoy a barbecue or simply relax soaking in the lovely views as the sun sets behind the hills. A single step leads up to the large, lawn area and wonderful spot to view the sky at night - star gazers will be delighted!
The owners try to manage the land in an eco-friendly way and, as such, are rewarded with increasing populations of wildlife - hopefully guests will enjoy spotting new visitors to the garden during their stay at The Stables.

The Stables has been thoughtfully renovated and as such provided a high standard of accommodation, which was well laid out and equipped. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and a lovely welcome hamper was provided, along with some thoughtful supplies for our dog. The Stables was warm and comfortable and there was plenty of supplies ie. Bin bags, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc. The owner and family were very welcoming and on hand if anything was needed. Great walks from the door and close to Masham for local amenities. We had a wonderful week and hope to return.

Immaculately and thoughtfully presented. Lovely welcome basket + bread eggs and milk Can’t think of a thing that wasn’t available! Excellent conversion of ground floor property in peaceful location. Helpful owners on hand. Would highly recommend .
