Had a lovely relaxing week in the Old Reading Room. It’s a beautiful property with a lovely spacious open plan living room, kitchen & dining area. The mezzanine area suited our 14 year old so he didn’t have to sit with us in the evenings. My other 2 teenagers were happy in front of the fire doing jigsaws with us. Only grumble would be the shower requires a bit of maintenance. We had 2 minor issues outwith the owners control, but he bent over backwards to get these resolved.

Second visit this year. The Old Reading Room is a fabulous building set in the heart of the countryside. It'd comfortable, warm and cosy. Great for long walks and observing wildlife. Hooe to have another visit soon

This place is a fabulous retreat. The open plan living area is a wonderful space, with plenty of seating and is a decently equipped area. The bedrooms are comfortable and it's location means its so peaceful and quiet. The en suite would be better if it had a shower but the lack of this is far outweighed by the loveliness of the rest of the facilities and the house location.
