What a wonderful holiday in a wonderful area and staying in a wonderful cottage! The cottage had everything we required with the host being about over the week but never intruding. There was a welcome pack waiting for us and Scooby our spaniel had his own doggy pack.Often in reviews, guests say they will return and don’t, but in this case, we definitely will be. There were plenty of logs available so the wet, walking week we had was made all the more enjoyable by being able to have a roaring fire each night. The Fox and Hounds pub only 50 metres away, was warm, friendly, with delicious food and the staff were extremely welcoming. The walking was really enjoyable and we would recommend the riverside walks that were naturally flat and always appeared to pass pubs! We are looking forward to returning when the weather is better so we can enjoy the higher level walks and scenery.Helen, my wife, Scooby and I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

Wellside cottage is one of the best cottages we have stayed in, the cottage is clean and very well equipped for comfort, all the furnishings are high quality. The kitchen is also well equipped for cooking with a variety of utensils and a very generous welcome basket. Wellside is very well located for walks and the local pub is about 2 minutes walk away, the pub is very friendly and welcoming and the food is great. We have visited twice and have booked again for a third time. William makes staying at the cottage very easy.
