Set in a small hamlet just 1¼ miles from the centre of Skipton, this carefully furnished and co-ordinated detached barn conversion provides a wonderful, secluded getaway from the bustle of everyday life. It lies adjacent to the owner’s home and is well placed for rural walking direct from the door up and around Sharphaw, or alternatively you can walk into the bustling market town of Skipton where the Norman castle stands proudly at the top of a broad, sweeping cobbled High Street. There is a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants to explore, as well as trips on the canal, an indoor swimming pool, pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course. York is just over an hour’s drive, as is the Lake District. The spa town of Harrogate is a ½-hour drive, and will satisfy the most ardent of shoppers; whilst there take time to have afternoon tea at Betty’s tea room. Alternatively, simply relax in your own hot tub and enjoy your surroundings. Shop and restaurant ½ mile, pub 1 mile.

Stirton Burrow was everything we wanted and more! The location was perfect, making it so easy to explore all the places we wanted to visit, and the property had absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful stay.I would especially recommend booking if you have a dog! I’ve stayed in places that claim to be dog-friendly but come with lots of rules or restrictions, which can make it difficult to fully relax. Stirton Burrow was the complete opposite. It was so lovely to feel genuinely welcome with our dog and be able to relax and enjoy the home without constantly worrying.Geri and her family were absolutely lovely, welcoming and helpful whilst also giving us our own space to enjoy our stay.We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely be returning. An absolute hidden gem and such incredible value for money!

I’m actually tempted to lie in this review…I want to tell everyone it was absolutely awful, the bed was uncomfortable, the WiFi didn’t work, the hot tub was rubbish and the coffee machine was terrible… because quite honestly, I’d LOVE to keep this place a secret so I can come back and have it all to myself! But unfortunately, I can’t lie, this place was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, every little personal touch made the stay feel so special. The beautiful cottage itself is stunning, the location is perfect, and the land surrounding it is just beautiful. It genuinely felt like a little escape from the real world.The host was fantastic and had thought of everything. Nothing felt like an afterthought from the incredibly comfortable, HUGE bed we had 2 dogs with us and still so much room, to the coffee machine, WiFi, washing machine and all the little touches that made us feel completely at home.And then there’s the hot tub… absolute perfection! The cottage is beautifully done, incredibly comfortable and much bigger than expected, with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. You can tell how much thought and care has gone into making it somewhere people can genuinely switch off, relax and enjoy themselves.We honestly didn’t want to leave.So, reluctantly, I have to give this place the review it deserves… 10/10! ⭐️Although I’m still considering changing my mind and telling everyone it was terrible so nobody else books it… because I definitely want to come back! Thank you for such a beautiful, peaceful and memorable stay. We absolutely loved every minute.

We spent a week here and had a great time.Fully equipped,comfortable and central to some great days out.Hot tub is amazing after a day of walking.Views from the field are spectacular with deer,sunsets and even a barn owl!Owner was helpful,knew lots about the area and very welcoming.We would definitely return.
