This superb former Croft has been loving converted to provide luxury detached accommodation with lovely open views across the countryside. Ideal as a touring base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales or simply sit back and never leave this idyllic Dales village with its babbling river running through it under an old stone bridge alongside historic cottages, quaint shops and even a stream side tearoom. Nearby is Malham Cove one of Great Britain’s geological wonders believed to be the best example of a limestone pavement in the UK, standing 260 feet high it brings climbers, walkers and geologists from all over the world to experience it. There are many good walks and popular cycle routes straight from the door with 2 good pubs in the village for refreshment after a day on your travels just a short walk away. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

The previous reviews listed a lot that is bad and has still not been rectified. Needs a deep clean, it is not luxury as listed. No kitchen paper or foil. Even the milk sachets are 6 months out of date. The radiator in bathroom and the floor didn't have any heat. My recommendation is do not book this cottage

This review takes into account the property’s “luxury” tag. Overall we had a great holiday in the cottage, which was comfortable with excellent views and proximity to a fabulous pub.We noted the previous reviews that stated the property had not been cleaned prior to guest arrival. We are happy to say that it had been cleaned but would not say it was thorough - the windows were dirty and the showers had not been wiped down, plus various corners had not seen Hoover or dusting brush. Additionally, the microwave door handle was sticky to touch, even if the inside was spotless. Some of the towels and bedding were bleach stained in places, although obviously clean. Both toilet seats were badly fitting, which is not very nice. The main bedroom wardrobe is unusable for clothes due to the storage of items such as ladders and ironing board. On opening the left hand door to see if there was any hanging space, the ironing board fell forward, bringing with it a telescopic ladder which landed rather painfully on a foot. Fortunately no serious harm was done, but clearly these items need to better secured. In conclusion, this is a lovely cottage that, with a few issues resolved, would truly merit its luxury tag.

Well, stunning views, wonderful location, good comfy bed, parking a bonus, wi-fi good as is the outside lighting, BUT, I would not put the word luxury in the description!!! reason being, No welcome pack, no visitors book, NO Hairdryer!!! The settee had very long red hairs attaching themselves to our clothing from previous occupants. General paintwork chipped and needs attention. Fridge & freezer could do with a deep clean, and as for the towels...bleach marks and staining on the ones we were given and the bedding was not ironed and I could smell somebody else's perfume. The kitchen area was ok apart from a couple of chipped plates but adequate and we managed. There was no instruction for the underfloor heating or the Wood burner, and it wasn't made very clear that there would not be any logs included!! On the whole we enjoyed our stay, but it could have been made better if the points mentioned above had been addressed.
