Limecroft Cottage in Malham is praised for its cosy atmosphere, excellent location for walking, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, powerful showers, and the warmth of the property. The garden and proximity to local pubs add to the charm. Some concerns over cleanliness and maintenance are noted, but overall, guests are very happy and would return.
Guests generally found Limecroft Cottage to be clean and tidy, with specific praise for its spotless condition upon arrival. However, there were some reports of musty bedding, a dirty oven, and mould, which slightly marred the overall impression.
The location is highly commended for its beautiful surroundings and convenience for walking in the Dales. The cottage's proximity to local amenities and attractions like Malham Cove is a significant plus for guests.
The cottage is described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with good quality beds and sofas. The presence of a log burner and underfloor heating are appreciated, although some guests were disappointed by the lack of logs and the noise from the heating system at night.
Facilities are generally good, with well-equipped bathrooms and kitchen. However, guests noted some issues such as mismatched crockery, broken dimmer switches, and outdated carbon monoxide alarms. The lack of instructions for recycling and the log burner were also points of concern.
While guests mention the provision of tea bags and UHT milk, there is no consistent reference to gifts or additional thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. It should be noted that while some guests appreciated the basic provisions, the presence of gifts is not guaranteed.

Overall we enjoyed it. The property itself is beautiful and the location was perfect with beautiful surroundings. A few logs and lighting fuel would have been nice to have a log fire as it does say in the info about the cottage that theres a log burner but didnt mention that no logs were provided. As it was after 5pm when we checked in , cold and wet, and werent able to buy logs locally a bit disappointed. ( I will add that the heating was on) . Also I marked down for cleanlines because on entering the main bedroom there was a horrible smell. It turned out to be the bedding. All four pillows and the quilt smell dirty and very musty and I had to swop them with the bedding in the smaller bedroom. Other than that a lovely stay and would use the cottage again Smelly bedding.

Really enjoyed our stay here ideally situated as a starting point for lovely walks. The cottage itself was cosy and had everything we wanted with the choice of 3 establishments to eat at in the evening a short stroll away. Town end farm shop is just a 5 mins drive so many many lovely decisions to make! We would definitely return.
