Guests say

Gisburn Forest Lodge is highly praised for its beautiful setting, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests enjoy the peaceful location, the well-equipped lodge, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The surrounding area offers lovely places to visit, and the property is dog-friendly. Some guests mention minor issues with lighting and storage, but these do not detract from the overall positive experience. The thoughtful touches by the owners, such as welcome gifts, are appreciated, though they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Reviews consistently mention that the lodge is clean and tidy, with fresh linens and a well-maintained appearance. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' comfort and satisfaction.

The lodge's location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views and a sense of seclusion. The proximity to local attractions and the safety of the area for children are also highlighted. The only drawback mentioned is the access road, which can be challenging for low cars.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a relaxing hot tub. The garden and outdoor space add to the comfort level. Some guests note issues with lighting and storage, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

The lodge is well-equipped with a kitchen, hot tub, and other amenities that guests find satisfactory. However, there are comments about insufficient lighting, small fridge size, and the need for some updates, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful touches provided by the owners, such as welcome cards, Prosecco, and chocolates. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for all stays.

Everything you need is there. Whether eating in or out. Enough towels for all your needs. Clean throughout and great use of the space. Hot tub is good, would have liked a bit more lighting outside though. The garden was secure enough for our dog to roam around. Not far from excellent walks and a visit to the old vicarage tea room is a must.

The lodge was lovely and cosy; we also really enjoyed the hot tub. We will definitely return!

The area is lovely and peaceful, my only wish is to come back and stay during the summer months where we can make more use of the outdoor areas. That said the garden was loved by both our doggies and they were very sad to leave it behind, especially Ludo who is more upset he lost one of his balls somewhere! Staying over Christmas we came fully prepared to cook a full dinner, however the lodge was super prepared for us and we didn't want for anything, all the tools available in the kitchen meant we had a stress free Christmas. Thank you for the best Christmas we've had in many a year.
