Inside, the cottage offers a cosy sitting room with plush seating, a wood-burning stove and a smart TV – perfect for unwinding. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking hearty meals, with a dining area to enjoy them together. Why not bring your furry friends along for the adventure? Upstairs, you’ll find a king-size bedroom with a charming window seat and countryside views, and a lovely double room overlooking open fields – ideal for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Please note, due to the snug and cosy layout of the smaller bedroom, the door doesn’t fully open as it opens against the bed. The modern bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower. Outside, the enclosed garden is a real highlight, with outdoor seating perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, an evening tipple or just for star gazing as The Yorkshire Dales is home to some of the darkest skies in the country, where it’s possible to see the Milky Way, planets, meteors and even the Northern Lights. The wood-burning fire pit is perfect for such evenings under the stars. And with two well-behaved pets welcome, the whole family can enjoy this idyllic retreat.

Just a short drive away or a 2-mile walk along the Pennine Way is the dramatic beauty of Malham Cove, a natural limestone formation with spectacular views, perfect for hiking and picnicking. Nearby, Janet’s Foss waterfall and Gordale Scar offer more awe-inspiring scenery, all within walking distance. Malham Tarn, England’s highest Lake, is a must too. For a more leisurely day, explore the charming town of Skipton, home to a medieval castle, bustling market, independent shops and canal boat trips – ideal for soaking in the rural views.

Families will enjoy a day out at Thornton Hall Country Park, offering hands-on animal experiences, play areas and seasonal events. Or head to Grassington, a postcard-perfect village known for its quaint streets and local pubs and as the filming location for All Creatures Great and Small. From here, enjoy scenic walks to Linton Falls and along the River Wharfe. The Pennine Way runs through the village of Airton, with many walks available to explore right from the doorstep.
