Snaptrip says

Poppy Cottage in Settle is highly praised for its prime location, ideal for walking and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Guests find it cosy, warm, and well-equipped, with special mentions of a welcoming fire and friendly owners. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many guests eager to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with only a single mention of finding old peanuts on the carpet, which seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is frequently highlighted as excellent, with easy access to local walks, pubs, and the train station. The proximity to the Three Peaks is particularly appreciated.

The cottage is often referred to as cosy, warm, and comfortable. However, there are a few comments about the size of the fridge and the adequacy of the beds for six adults, suggesting slight room for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the presence of two bathrooms. Criticisms include the size of the fridge, issues with the showers, and the lack of reliable WiFi, which slightly lower the score.

While the reviews mention a warm fire and a tin of chocolates, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such extras are not guaranteed.

The weather wasn't the best all the time but the cottage was warm and cosy to come back to. Clothes dried and ready for the next day. Good food and good beer at the Golden Lion pub too.
