Ribble Cottage in Settle is highly praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the modern kitchen, comfortable beds, and the quaint garden. The property's proximity to local shops, pubs, and scenic walks, along with easy access to the Settle-Carlisle railway, makes it an ideal base for exploring. While parking can be challenging, the charm and amenities of the cottage ensure a delightful stay.
Guests consistently note the spotless condition of Ribble Cottage, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The cottage's central position in Settle, close to shops, footpaths, and the railway, is frequently commended, making it an excellent location for visitors.
The comfortable beds and overall homeliness of the cottage are highlighted, though there is a mention of a cramped small room and a desire for lighter duvets in summer.
The well-equipped kitchen, good appliances, and additional features like speakers are appreciated. However, some guests noted a lack of storage space in the bedrooms and a shortage of towels, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
The welcome email and gift received by guests are seen as thoughtful touches, although it should be noted that such gestures are a pleasant surprise and not guaranteed with every stay.

The bustling market town of Settle lies at the south west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, nestled beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes - amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. Tuesday is market day in Settle, when the square is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of crafts and goods. The market place is surrounded by local businesses, the centre being dominated by The Shambles, an historic three storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool. The Victoria Hall has entertainment and other activities such as folk nights throughout the year. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham. Settle is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.

Itâs in the heart of Settle, just a few minutes walk from the centre, and yet itâs on a quiet street so makes for a very relaxing place to stay. The dog treats were a wonderful surprise tooâ¦and my dog very much enjoyed them!

Spotlessly clean, comfy and everything in working order. It would have worked much better for us (4 adults) if one of the big bedrooms was a twin. The tiny room is very cramped for two adults. Also some thin duvets please - 10tog in summer is a bit much!
Christina
We had a lovely stay at Ribble cottage, location was great, the bedrooms need some storage space, wardrobe or drawers, only 3 hangers per room and there was only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel between 4 people, need a few more, otherwise a good time was had by all
