Bullfinch Lodge offers a peaceful setting ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxing break, with good accessibility features and dog-friendly accommodation. Guests appreciated the tranquil location and opportunities for fishing, although some noted that recent weather had affected the fishing experience. While the lodge is praised for its setting and accessibility, several guests mentioned that the property would benefit from refurbishment and more thorough cleaning. Overall, Bullfinch Lodge provides a comfortable base for a countryside escape, especially for those who value nature and accessibility.

Some guests reported issues with cleanliness, such as cobwebs, unswept decking, and grime in the wet room, while others did not mention any concerns. The feedback suggests that cleaning standards can be inconsistent.

The lodge is praised for its brilliant, peaceful location, ideal for wildlife watching and relaxation. However, some guests noted road noise, which may affect the tranquillity for some visitors.

Guests found the lodge comfortable and appreciated the accessibility features, but some mentioned very soft beds and maintenance issues that impacted overall comfort.

The lodge offers good facilities for disabled guests and allows dogs, but several reviews highlighted maintenance issues such as leaking wet rooms, lack of grab rails, and worn furnishings.

There is no mention of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Lodges are advertised as luxury having just spent a week in bullfinch luxury isn't how I would describe it, worn, tired and in need of a good overhaul is what is required.flooring in the living room is lifting up in several places which causes the door to stick, the foor in the wet room is disgusting where the seal has lifted and dirt and grime has formed along it, most walls have holes in where plaster has dropped out and cracked, doors and skirting boards in poor condition and as for the cleaning before we arrived? The oven had bits of food along it, cobwebs can happen overnight i get that, but there are cobwebs weeks old all over the outside around the hot tub and decking and there are some inside too, as for the decking I would say this hasn't been swept in weeks , the outside table and chairs are covered with ants, while we are outside if you are going for the fishing be prepared to be disappointed there is an issue with the water from several weeks ago and it hasn't improved, I was told that 40% of the fish have died and they will restock at the end of the year.so when you aren't fishing you can sit and listen to the constant road noise!. Luxury No , recommend NO
