We really enjoyed our stay in the Gardener’s cottage. The standard of the property is better than any we’ve stayed in previously. Having access to the grounds, especially the walled garden, was a bonus. Very quiet surroundings and Great Ayton was a good place to wander for a morning dog walk. The owners were on hand for any queries or problems but they were never intrusive.Overall we would highly recommend the property but bear in mind that it is quite a drive to the coast if a seaside holiday is your preference.

Had a fantastic time at the Gardeners Cottage! Couldn’t have asked for a better week. We were so impressed with the quality of things inside the cottage, the pans, knives, lighting and welcome snacks. Will was so attentive and genuinely such a lovely host. The cottage was clean, smelled amazing and just had a lovely feel to it. The value for money as well was fantastic. The village of Great Ayton was so picturesque and wholesome and everyone around was so friendly! So close to some many beautiful parts of the world like Saltburn, Whitby and multiple national trust sites. We visited 5 different ones during our stay that were all within an hour of the cottage (we recommend Fountains Abbey). Genuinely just had a lovely chilled week here and we will definitely be coming again!
