Guests say

Number 3 Flying Horseshoe Cottage receives high praise for its peaceful setting, cleanliness, and well-equipped, cosy interior. Guests appreciate the friendly neighbours, enclosed garden, and excellent access to beautiful countryside walks and local attractions. The cottage is particularly suited for couples or small groups seeking a quiet retreat. While a car is recommended for convenience, the location offers easy access to nearby villages and amenities. Minor issues such as tricky stairs and occasional maintenance needs are mentioned but do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean, with particular mention of clean bathrooms, bedding, and overall presentation. Only one review suggests the property 'needs TLC', but this is outweighed by consistent positive feedback.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas. Guests enjoy the proximity to walking routes and local villages, though some note a car is helpful for getting about.

Guests repeatedly mention the cottage as warm, cosy, and comfortable, with quality furnishings and beds. The only minor negative is the staircase being a bit tricky, but this does not significantly impact overall comfort.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a secure garden for dogs and good parking. A few minor maintenance issues are noted but were quickly resolved by attentive hosts.

Several guests mention thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack with milk, tea, coffee, and biscuits. While these gestures are appreciated, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely location, very quiet, nice friendly neighbours. Kitchen very well equipped, even a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival ! Very comfy bed and nice clean bathroom. Just a short drive (or even walk) to Clapham village which has a couple of nice pubs and a little shop. Also very close to Austwick and Settle. Loads of great walking in the area including Ingleborough which can be seen from the back garden. Forest of Bowland is a short drive away too. Will definitely be back to stay at this property again !
