Copper Cottage in Carnforth is highly praised for its cosiness, cleanliness, and prime location in the heart of Ingleton. Guests appreciate the well-presented property, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage is noted for its proximity to local amenities, walking routes, and welcoming touches from the owners, making it a recommended choice for a delightful break in the Yorkshire Dales.
Guests consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, highlighting its cleanliness as a significant factor in their enjoyable stay. The property is well-maintained, with several reviews specifically commending the clean and tidy environment.
The cottage's location is frequently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and walking trails. The village of Ingleton is described as vibrant and beautiful, contributing to the property's high location score.
Comfort is a recurring theme in the reviews, with guests finding the cottage cosy and homely. The presence of a real fire, comfortable beds, and a warm atmosphere contribute to the high comfort rating, although a single mention of an uncomfortable mattress slightly impacts the score.
The cottage is well-equipped with modern facilities, a wood burner, and thoughtful additions like a boot room for outdoor gear. While the facilities generally meet guests' needs, a minor criticism about the lack of egg cups and a comment on the need to purchase logs for the fire slightly lower the score.
Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures from the owners, such as a welcome bottle of wine and treats for dogs. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.
Close to a selection of pubs, shops, and restaurants, you will discover Copper Cottage, a modern retreat with an abundance of style and sophistication. Whether you are planning a cosy getaway, or a scenic adventure, this is a lovely haven to start your day, or return to after exploring the village and beyond. The lounge has been designed with neutral coloured sofas, an extendable dining table for up to four people, and a multi-fuel stove to warm those cooler nights. A well-equipped kitchen borders the back of the room housing a collection of appliances, continuing through to the boot room, with access to a pretty patio garden.
Upstairs, the two bedrooms are beautifully finished, there is a double room, and a smaller double to match your preferences, next to a family bathroom complete with both a bath and a corner shower. Attention to detail graces the first floor, and storage space is available, located across the landing area. Spend some time in the cosy garden which overlooks the church, a nice place to unwind; and the village's main claim to fame is the superb Waterfalls' Walk which is located just across the street, near the excellent chip shop. The well-known White Scar Caves and Ingleborough are just over a mile away.
An excellent location from which to uncover the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland. A good range of amenities are on hand, and there's also a year-round climbing wall, as well as a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool in a riverside setting. There are 2 pubs a few steps away, The Wheatsheaf and The Old Post Office along with a Tapas restaurant, Indian takeaway and a Co-op store. A pleasant getaway not to be missed.
