About this property

Cherry Blossom Cottage is a Grade II listed, terraced, three-storey weaver's cottage resting on a quiet cul-de-sac in Netherthong, West Yorkshire. With plenty of country walks right on the doorstep, as well as easy access to the Peak District National Park, this historic cottage is a wonderful base for a group of six to explore West Yorkshire. Admire the delightful setting of characterful cottages in this peaceful location as you park up in the off-road parking space. Be welcomed by a charming, open-plan living area with solid oak floors, wooden beams and a feature fireplace; although the interior has been beautifully refurbished with contemporary furnishings, much of the cottage's original character has been kept! Sleek countertops and ample cupboard space await the group's chef, with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge/freezer to rustle up home-cooked meals, whilst the dishwasher and washing machine can do all the cleaning. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the dining table whilst you plan the day ahead, whilst the sitting area is ready to welcome you back for a relaxed evening by the warmth of the woodburning stove; sink into the plush sofas with a good book or catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV. On the first floor, you'll find a spacious, well-appointed bathroom with a pretty vanity table to freshen up before dinner, whether that's a relaxing soak in the bubble bath or a quick rinse using the shower over. All three bedrooms feature wooden latch doors, beams and cottage-style furnishings to catch your rest; find a king-size bedroom on the first floor, whilst the second floor hosts a double and a twin, all of which look out onto the picturesque cul-de-sac. Make the most of your quintessential surroundings at the front patio garden with seating to prepare dinner at the barbecue and dine alfresco! After a long day trekking the countryside, treat yourself to a well-earned pint and dinner at one of the nearby pubs, whilst the local convenience store provides all of the self-catering essentials. Netherthong is a short journey away from the centre of Holmfirth with plenty of larger supermarkets and a selection of attractions well-worth a visit, including Compos House museum, the Ashley Jackson Gallery and The Picturedrome for live performances, alongside plenty of popular eateries. Pack your clubs and take a short drive into Meltham to play a game at the town's golf course and stop for lunch, before exploring Folly Dolly Falls, a tranquil waterfall in a woodland setting. The town is just on the edge of the Peak District with plenty of walking trails across breath-taking landscapes, including the West Nab hiking area, Broadstone Hill and Wessenden reservoir, whilst avid climbers will relish plenty of rugged rocks to venture up. On your way to the larger market town of Huddersfield, stop off at the gorgeous Beaumont Park for a picnic with plenty of diverse walks to please the whole family, whilst Castle Hill is well-worth the hill climb to visit the Victorian tower resting on an Iron Age fort. Take a guided walking tour to visit popular landmarks and hear of Huddersfield's vibrant history, before taking refuge in the leafy Greenhead Park, or dining in one of the many restaurants. Whisk your loved ones away for plenty to see and do from Cherry Blossom Cottage.

Netherthong is a rural village situated between Holmfirth and Huddersfield, near to the Peak District National Park. The village is home to Wesleyan Chapel, the first chapel in the Huddersfield area, which opened in 1771. Netherthong is also close to Meltham Golf Club, Folly Dolly Falls, and Compos House Museum.
