This homely semi-detached cottage is situated in Withernsea, a cosy, coastal haven with a relaxed atmosphere, appreciated as a magnificent seaside town. Perfect for families and friends, Driftwood is a unique base to begin your adventures, and somewhere peaceful to return to after a busy day of sightseeing and so much more. Enter inside to the beautiful lounge/diner, a spacious haven to settle down in the company of your loved ones in front of the woodburning stove with a great outlook over the gravelled garden which invites the outside in. Discover the modern kitchen, which is home to a collection of appliances, also providing access to the outdoor area via a delightful porch. The ground floor is finished with a traditional double bedroom, and a classic shower room with a vanity unit, and shower cubicle. On the upper level you will discover a cloakroom, and two further bedrooms, each thoughtfully decorated, with a pleasant view from the window which you can wake up to every morning of your stay. The flat, rural landscape surrounding the town offers some remarkable sweeping views. The villages feature historical landmarks, including a lighthouse now housing a museum, Withernsea's sand and pebble beach, a grand tower-like entrance, plenty of delicious cafés nearby and, further along the coast, the atmospheric Spurn Peninsula that stretches three miles out to sea. Also, less than a minute away, you will have access to a year-round dog friendly beach. Withernsea also boasts a traditional promenade, and ornamental gardens, a fabulous cottage in a popular part of Yorkshire.
Withernsea is a popular seaside town in the East Riding of Yorkshire and benefits from many historical landmarks, such as the museum in the lighthouse, a huge nuclear bunker and a Napoleonic fortress. The town also boasts a small sand and pebble beach, a traditional promenade, fish and chip shops and ornamental gardens. Changed light in bathroom as bulb had gone when arrived. Slight issue of door handle in upstairs bedroom felt like would come loose and handle of drawer in kitchen came off. Fixed drawer handle. Tried to clean mid week but couldnât find a mop. Hoover made the room smell strongly of dog. Outside space safe for dogs on side & back. The back could do with a bit of care, otherwise comfortable break. Good position, beds comfortable and all you need in the home for a family holiday.

Driftwood is clean and comfortable, itâs near the sea and the garden was very secure for our two dogs. We enjoyed it so much we are returning next year.

A few suggestions the downstairs bedroom does not have a wardrobe, a few coat hooks does not suffice, the single chair in the living room is tiny and does not work, i didnt notice in the description anything about steps to the front or more steps to the garden, TV is a bit small for the size of the living room, if you could change these things it would be really helpful as we have stayed at loads of places and this is still by far one of the best.
