About this property

Perched in the pretty seaside town of Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, is this a fantastic three-bedroom, semi-detached house, called St. Botolphs. Enjoying a superb location just moments away from the beach and local amenities, St. Botolphs is a wonderful choice for a group or family of six. Be welcomed into your new abode, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen/diner for rustling up home-cooked favourites, ready to savour at the dining table for six, or alfresco out on the rear enclosed decking complete with dining furniture, swings, ground floor W/C and basin. After dinner, kick-back and relax in the light and airy sitting room, featuring an electric fire, plush seating, and wall-mounted TV, or if you’d prefer to watch something different or curl up with a good book, retreat to the snug. Follow the stairs up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day in the well-appointed bathroom with a soak in the bath or freshen up under the overhead shower, before retiring to one of three beautifully presented bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, all with their own TV, and easy access to the bathroom. Explore the town, where you can spend a fun-filled day at Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo based at the nearby Free Port shopping village. Test out your swing at the excellent Hornsea Golf Club, bathing on the golden sands of Hornsea Beach, enjoying leisurely walks around Hornsea Mere, delving into history at the Hornsea Museum, stocking up on essentials at the convenience store, or treating your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at numerous bars, café's and restaurants', many with outdoor seating/dining areas. The property is situated within a two minute walk from the sea front and newly built leisure centre. Hall Garth Park and picturesque memorial gardens are also nearby, the town has access to a large Tesco supermarket and local shops all within walking distance of the property. The popular market town of Beverley and its amazing Minster is only a 20 mins drive to the south or you can continue north onto Bridlington, where you can enjoy the delights of the picturesque Harbour, live performances at the Bridlington Spa, the Bayle Museum, the stunning Bridlington Beach, and the popular attractions of Bridlington Animal Park and John Bull World of Rock. Further afield, you will find Sewerby, home to the esteemed Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Danes Dyke Nature Reserve and beach, or venture further to the stunning RSPB Bempton Cliffs for the ultimate wildlife spotting opportunities. Your next coastal escape awaits at St. Botolphs.

Hornsea is a lovely coastal village located just 15 miles south of Bridlington on the East Coast. This historic Victorian town is perfect for families, thanks to its broad, sandy beaches and charming promenade lined with well-kept gardens. While Hornsea Mere, Yorkshire's largest natural lake, is located nearby, the town's lively centre has an old-fashioned ambiance with a variety of tiny shops, pubs, and cafes. A half-hour drive from Hornsea Freeport is Bempton Cliffs rspb reserve, which boasts one of the greatest mainland puffin populations in Britain. As a starting point for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors, and the East Riding's seaside resorts, Hornsea is convenient to Wassand Hall and its walled gardens. Historic York, Beverley's gothic minster, and Hull's The Deep are all within driving distance.

Hornsea itself is a quiet place with plenty of places to eat and the beach was never crowded and only a 5 minute walk from the house. If we were to go back which we will we would like the bath towels to be a bit larger.

Lots of space for the 5 of us. Great garden for the children to play in. We had everything we needed here. Near to park and shops/beach. This has to be one of the best cottages we have stayed In yet. Comfy beds, lovely furniture and decor. There was nothing to fault. We would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful cottage.
