Skipsea is a quiet village, offering all the amenities you will require, including a pub and a general store, whilst the nearby town of Hornsea houses a larger selection of amenities to suit all tastes and requirements. The bustling seaside town of Scarborough lies further afield and promises to be a fun-filled day for a family of all ages and tastes. For those feeling active, miles of walking and cycling routes can be found upon the surrounding countryside, or you can brush up on the local history by visiting the nearby Skipsea Castle or travel slightly further to Sledmere House and Burton Constable Hall. Smugglers Den is a wonderful base for exploring this part of Yorkshire with your loved ones.

Skipsea is a small village resting within the Yorkshire Wolds and its within close reach to the cliffs of the North Sea. Within the village you will find a Post Office and general store, a hairdresser’s and a pub, and on the outskirts you will find the remains of Skipsea Castle. Attractions within the surrounding area include Deep Submarium at Hull, Sledmere House and Burton Constable Hall.

2 x Smart TV have Netflix apps etc, guests would need their own account and please remember to log out before departure.

Bed linen and towels included in rent.

Roadside parking on first come first served basis.

Walking, hiking, birdwatching groups all welcome.

Visit Bempton Cliffs, the rspb nature reserve with viewing platforms, to see Puffins,Gannets, Guillemots etc (seasonal).

Excellent location to visit Wharrem Percy deserted medieval village, the Norman Mound of Seaskip Castle or Burton Agnes Manor House.

Flanborough has the oldest operational lighthouse in the UK.

Bridlington Animal Park only 15 minutes away.

Nearby Hornsea is part of the Sustrans national cycle route 65/the Hornsea Rail Trail plus has the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire.

York Cathedral can be reached within approx 1 hour, Flamingoland, Castle Howard and Malton are all en route.

East Riding leisure centre has two state-of-the-art water slides, a splash and play zone and swimming pool.

No smoking.

Pub and shop within 0.1 miles.

Note: The property is situated above a family friendly pub serving good food with a beer garden for those lovely sunny days, please note the pub is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Please note that due to the character of this property, there are steep stairs up to the apartment.

There are also two steps from the landing to the bathroom and two of the bedrooms.

Please note, property is not suitable for babies, toddlers and people with mobility issues, due to the steps.

    The store and bus service both close by and handy. The heating was programmed for nights but came on in the mornings. The carpet in walkways seemed musty, may need shampooing.

    This flat is a brilliant 3 bedroom comfortable flat with loads of history But is in desperate need of a good make over we did enjoy our stay and the pub downstairs is great with good food and good prices
