Paradise Lakeside Lodges is a beautiful holiday park with a wonderful mixture of open grassland, ponds, woodland walks and an array of wildlife that is hard to find today. The park is only a few miles from York, and the stunning East Coast is only half an hour’s drive away.

We had a fantastic holiday. Staff were great. The kids loved the hot tub & feeding the ducks. As long as you have the car there are loads of places to visit and eat, just none within walking distance. Would definitely go back.

We have stayed in many lodges in various parts of the country and this one was no where near the standard of the others. The steps up to the lodge were rickety and the bottom step was actually loose. The banister felt like it would collapse if you leaned on it. The location was remote as we knew it would be however, we were unable to walk anywhere due to the narrow lanes which had no footpaths but the lodge was in a good location to explore York and the coast by car. The surroundings were lovely and relaxing and the wildlife a joy to watch. Compared to the other lodges we've stayed in, the decor was really dated and could do with an update. There was a chip out of the fridge door covering, the shower door in the en-suite was very difficult to open and close, the shower room door handle was very loose, there was no recycling facility and only 1 bin bag, the kettle wouldn't work unless it was full and there was only 2 rolls of toilet paper between 6 people. When my partner asked for more he was given 2 more rolls and was told that it was self catering accommodation. We've never had to take toilet rolls with us to other lodges so were quite shocked at this.Its not somewhere we would visit again.
