A walk along the golden sands of Fraisthorpe Beach will bring you to the bustling seaside holiday town of Bridlington. Here you will find a plethora of shops, tea rooms, restaurants, and bars. There are also plenty of amusements and facilities for children. For a taste of local history, be sure to spend the day at Sewerby Hall and gardens, and Burton Agnes Hall, or head a little further inland and explore the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. There are miles of footpaths to explore and cycle routes to ride so do make sure to bring your bikes with you. The ancient City of York is just an hour away and the pretty market towns of Beverley and Driffield are waiting to be explored. The nearby coastal resorts of Filey and Scarborough are also well worth a visit. The Poplars is a wonderful base from which to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
