About this property

This stunning, three-storey, detached townhouse is set on the beachfront in the seaside resort of Bridlington. Enjoying expansive sea views and within walking distance to plenty of amenities, Southdowne provides an exceptional base for family and friends looking to come together and enjoy the east coast of Yorkshire. There are five off-road parking spaces directly outside the property, so you can easily unload your belongings and get yourself set up for the week. Step into the entrance hall, where you can leave your seaside essentials after a day on the beach, before discovering the ground-floor living quarters. Head to the kitchen, where you can sit at the dining table and keep the designated chef company whilst they get acquainted amongst the appliances. Serve up culinary delights in the separate dining room, with enough seating for the entire group, plus there’s sea views from the bay window! Put your feet up in the lounge, pondering on the holiday agenda whilst the electric fire gently heats the space. Find the utility for your laundry needs, housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, with a rear door providing access to the enclosed garden; here you can relax upon the furniture whilst your pooch stretches their legs or head into the games room and enjoy a selection of games, including snooker, billiards, darts and table football. Spend fun times with the family in the large downstairs sitting room or escape to the peace and quiet of the first-floor lounge and enjoy the panoramic views of Bridlington Bay that stretch from Flamborough Head to Hornsea. The bedrooms at this Bridlington home are set across the upper two floors; the first-floor provides two kings, two doubles and a twin, each with en-suite shower rooms and TVs, along with a bunk room with double and single bed. Continue to the second-floor to find the master super-king-size with en-suite shower, walk-in wardrobe and TV, along with a king-size with en-suite bathroom. Southdowne is situated just fifty yards from Bridlington South Beach, so you can easily enjoy beach days and swimming in the sea. On your return, pick up a portion of fish and chips or choose from an array of fantastic nearby restaurants, including Aloha, Salt on the Harbour and Seacourt, to name a few. Visit Bridlington Animal Park, attend a show at nearby Bridlington Spa or explore the historic ‘Old Town’ to see where the latest Dad’s army was filmed. Venture along the spectacular heritage coastline to the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby. Keen walkers will be enticed by the Danes Dyke Nature Reserve, Bempton Cliffs with the RSPB reserve, and the Flamborough Heritage Coast Path, winding along to Filey and the Filey Brigg vantage point. If you’re seeking an expansive home in an enviable Bridlington situation, look no further than Southdowne.

South of Scarborough and Filey on Yorkshire's east coast is the seaside town of Bridlington. On either side of the old harbour, two award-winning beaches with golden sand are teeming with activity. Wonderfully constructed promenades provide everything from amusement parks to peaceful nooks where you may sit and people-watch. A interesting contrast to life on the beach, where the most recent episode of Dad's Army was recorded, Bridlington's shops, sights, restaurants, and historic "Old Town" can be found there. The Bridlington Spa Theatre on the waterfront offers nighttime entertainment. In addition, the East Riding Leisure Centre has a family swimming pool in addition to a number of other indoor pursuits. The charming towns and landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, the nearby resorts of Filey, Scarborough, and Whitby, and the breathtaking historic coastline are all further away. As far as we were concerned nothing had been overlooked. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Extremely well equipped, great location and a place we will definitely return to. Only snag and its a very small niggle, the room with a bunk bed double at the bottom with single on top was not ensuite and there were no separate bathrooms or toilets on that floor. The small cupboard in that room maybe more useful as a toilet facility.

Sensitive design throughout the property with good aesthetics and quality furniture. Clearly a lot of thought put into all the detail. Caters for range of ages with games room, quieter sitting areas for others and large dining, kitchen areas for when everyone gets together. House has fantastic location with direct sea views and easy stroll to town centre and harbour. Lovely beach walks straight from the door in either direction. House was universally appreciated by whole family.
