Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.. On-road parking. No smoking.. This building was originally built as a train station, yet it never had the opportunity to fulfil its purpose as the train route was redesigned and bypassed Flamborough.
In 2021 the whole building had an extensive renovation and it has been redesigned as beautiful holiday apartments, centrally located so that you can enjoy all the surrounding amenities. Each apartment is named after a famous train, Sir Nigel Gresley takes its name for record breaking locomotive currently residing in the York railway museum. Located on the second floor, giving you views over the village centre, ideal for watching the world go by. You have an open plan living room with a kitchen and dining area, with characterful exposed walls and beautiful furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining area is the perfect size for two, yet there are comfortable sofas where up to four guests can all sit together. The master double bedroom has its own en-suite shower. Plus, there is a second double bedroom as well as the main bathroom with both a shower and a bath.
Flamborough is a renowned beauty spot and a twenty five minute stroll from your doorstep brings you to the headland with views down to the little sandy bay where fishermen still mend their nets. The lighthouse up on the cliff top in Flamborough is a sight to behold, from this view point as you look down into the sea watch out for seals bobbing in the waves. The rugged cliff line provides excellent cliff top walks and breath-taking views across to the rspb Bird Sanctuary at Bempton and onwards to Filey Brigg. There are nesting gannets and colourful puffins here. Nearby there are some great destinations for days out. Traditional seaside towns such as Bridlington, with miles of sandy beaches, and leisure facilities including a swimming pool and spa pavilion, is just 3 miles away. The seaside resort of Scarborough boasts two beautiful beaches as well as an open air theatre and Alpamare heated outdoor pool and spa. A leisurely stroll along the South Cliff and Esplanade affords panoramic views across to the 12th century castle ruins. The historic port of Whitby with its maritime connections attracts guests from around the world, with its iconic abbey ruins. Further inland is the North York Moors National Park with many quaint little villages to explore. The market town of Pickering is home to the steam railway where a journey through the Esk valley will not disappoint. Historic houses such as Burton Agnes Norman Manor House, 9 miles away and Sewerby Hall and Gardens just 3 miles away.
This is an ideal choice for couples as well as friends looking to create memories together visiting new beautiful places.

Excellent location,clean, tidy,well presented, two chippies and pubs close by but quiet.Quite a few steps to the top floor apartment but overall we loved it, we'll be going back.
