LPG central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Games room with pool table (shared).. Decking with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 10-acre natural grounds with patio, garden furniture, BBQ and summerhouse (shared with other properties on-site). Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking or e-cigarettes. Please note: No children under 12 years old, including babes in arms. There is an unfenced pond in the grounds, 50 yards away.. From the many species of birds, to hares, hedgehogs, deers and foxes you will see most of these if not all of them during your stay. The owners have made a wonderful nature reserve with a wildlife pond and bird feeding area. Take a seat at dusk to watch the barn owls swoop above. The crème de la crème is you are just over a mile from the rspb bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs. Here you can see thousands of migrating seabirds as well as the comical puffins that attract many visitors every year.
The lodge is of very high standard and although you have access to further shared gardens, the lodge is quite private and has its own decking with sitting-out area. The décor and furnishings are co-ordinated beautifully making it a delightful place to stay. There’s also a snug that overlooks the bird feeding area, perfect for that early evening glass of wine whilst watching the birds feed.
The vibrant city of York is less than an hour away and has been voted repeatedly as one of the top ten cities to visit, so it is not to be missed. There’s the majestic York Minster standing proud in the centre surrounded by an abundance of shops, restaurants, cafés, street entertainers, theatres and museums. The coastal resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head, Scarborough and Bridlington are just a short drive. This is a perfect base to visit the North Yorkshire Moors, the East Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds. Beach 2 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Lovely location with excellent views over glorious open countryside with this single high class lodge tucked away in a very private area. Central position of farm allowed for easy travel along the east coast to several coastal villages and a couple of city's along with some inland towns. Left alone to the solitude of the lodge/location however the owner was readily available should anything be required and he was so well natured/polite. A lovely cafe and gallery on site. A most enjoyable week had.

This lodge is a little gem, very quiet location, tucked away at the bottom of the estate. The only sound we heard was a distant train going by a few times a day but only if you have the doors open.Lodge is very well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Lots of room and very clean with lots of storage. Large gas hob and oven which worked flawlessly (previous experience gas oven on bottles quite poor) no problem with this oven. Microwave, Large fridge freezer, dish washer and washer/dryer all built in.Good size TV with all main channels and streaming services. Broadband is good and quick, no problem streaming TV to two devices and holding video call at the same time. 2nd TV in main bedroom.Main bedroom has on suite with toilet,sink and walk in shower. Main bathroom has toilet, sink and bath with shower over it. Good water pressure and quick hot water. Showers very powerful, fully open like showering with pressure washer.Overall we had a great relaxing stay and we can see why on feedbacks a lot of people revisit. Would definitely recommend.
