For a little culture, visit the many historic houses in the area or take a trip to the delightful City of York.
The village of Bempton, with its traditional cottages, is situated between Filey and Flamborough. It is home to a shop, and nearby is the Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve, famous for the amazing colonies of puffins and other seabirds a great day out for bird watchers. Walkers can take advantage of the Yorkshire Wolds and the magnificent North Yorkshire Moors as they are both within easy reach. The area also has a wealth of historic houses, Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall, which are close to the village, are just two such attractions ideal for a family day out. If safe, sandy beaches are the order of the day, the resorts of Bridlington and Filey offer just such amenities and more besides for a traditional, seaside family feel.
