Based on apartment alone I would rate 4 star as its lovely but does have wear and tear and room for improvement. Based as a whole the hotel the apartment is Based in is pretty much derelict, so arriving late at night was very sketchy my kids were scared and wanted to leave but settled on opening the door as the apartment itself is nice with sea view out window. The walk up to the room is off putting hallways and stairs need alot of attention decor wise. Lift is very dated so puts you off using it but on the last day we tried it and to our suprise it actually works! We Googled the hotel whilst there and it ceased trading in January 2025 and says no rooms should be let so then we were worried we shouldn't be there. When we heard lots of banging on 2nd night we were a little concerned as we hadn't seen or heard anyone so this had us on edge so couldn't enjoy out stay as much as we'd of liked. If the hotel itself was gave a spruce to and was open id recommend apartment as location and sea view is great but whilst hotel is derelict which we didn't know prior to our arrival it takes the enjoyment out of your stay. Also the pigeon intrusion with bird poo everywhere is also a big off put

This is a lovely flat with some very welcome features. We smiled every time we used the really really old fashioned lift with shutting the gate and the door to access level 4. The flat is really clean and of great size and as stylish as the photos indicate. We really appreciated the many usb charging points as well as plenty of socket points and lighting options.I would have liked a hook or two to hang up coats and some draws to unpack more clothes rather than living out of a suitcase. (The wardrobes have plenty of hangers but are also full of the spare bedding)Unfortunately the balcony area was closed off due to storm damage, this is understandable and unavoidable - it would have been nice to of been informed about this prior to arrival; Not sure about the viability of when a repair could be done.Would of liked info that the hotel was closed prior to arrival too; this made car parking easy but the wifi was also not working. Unfortunately we also managed to set off the heat alarm with some over zealous cooking which needed to be reset from within the hotel; the owner did respond quickly to our phone call, and the maintenance guy also got a notification and came to our rescue. Also outside of anyones immediate control are the pigeons roosting outside the little side window and the rundown feel to the outside of the hotel. We had a great holiday, the views are amazing Plenty of crockery etc - bring dishwasher tablets etc
