Next door is a single bedroom with an optional pull-out bed, perfect for younger members of the family. The kitchen diner is on the ground floor with a cloakroom. To make the most of the warm summer evenings, the ground floor opens up onto a superb private patio area at the back of the property. This is an ideal space for guests to exercise pets, play with their children or enjoy a relaxing glass of wine together as the sun sets. Head upstairs to the light-filled lounge area to enjoy the stunning views from the property. On the first floor is the twin bedroom located next to the house bathroom offering a little more privacy from the rest of the cottage. The layout of the property offers guests plenty of flexibility for sleeping arrangements. If guests don't fancy cooking during their stay, the village boasts a great pub just a short walk from the property. Orchard Cottage lived up to our expectations and all of our family including 2 children aged 7 and 3 had a wonderful break. To have a pub serving good food on the doorstep was a bonus and there were plenty of walks from Lothersdale. The owner was very responsive to any queries and nice touch with wine, loaf of home made bread and cookies were very welcome.
