About this property

This idyllic semi-detached cottage with traditional stonework is set in the quiet village of Lothersdale on the outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales countryside. This spacious contemporary hidden gem is an ideal spot for families and groups of friends to enjoy the rugged surroundings. The master bedroom is situated on the ground floor with a modern en-suite. Next door is a single bedroom with an optional pull-out bed, perfect for younger members of the family. The kitchen diner is on the ground floor with a cloakroom. To make the most of the warm summer evenings, the ground floor opens up onto a superb private patio area at the back of the property. This is an ideal space for guests to exercise pets, play with their children or enjoy a relaxing glass of wine together as the sun sets. Head upstairs to the light-filled lounge area to enjoy the stunning views from the property. On the first floor is the twin bedroom located next to the house bathroom offering a little more privacy from the rest of the cottage. The layout of the property offers guests plenty of flexibility for sleeping arrangements. If guests don't fancy cooking during their stay, the village boasts a great pub just a short walk from the property. The lovely town of Skipton is also just a short drive away, making this property the perfect holiday base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

The charming village of Lothersdale nestles in a peaceful valley in the Pennine Hills, just five miles from the market town of Skipton. It was, at one time, home to Charlotte Bronte who modelled Gateshead Hall in Jane Eyre on Stone Gappe House where she was governess. Cowling 3 miles.
