Guests say

The Old Forge is a well-regarded cottage with a prime location in Haworth, offering a cosy and historic atmosphere. Guests appreciate its spaciousness, cleanliness, and proximity to local amenities. While parking can be challenging for larger vehicles, the property's charm and the convenience of having a designated space are noted. The cottage's character and thoughtful touches contribute to a pleasant stay, despite some feedback on maintenance and comfort improvements.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, with only a few mentioning cobwebs and the need for a more thorough cleaning regime. The overall impression is that the property is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and historic sites. The views and proximity to the Bronte Parsonage and Main Street are particularly appreciated.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, noting the cosy log burner and spacious rooms. However, some guests mention that the bed could be larger and more comfortable, and that the kitchen can be cold, affecting the overall comfort level.

The cottage is well-equipped with necessary amenities, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as draughty windows, a challenging parking space, and the need for better kitchen lighting. Some guests also suggest improvements to the soft furnishings and cooking utensils.

While guests appreciate the overall experience at The Old Forge, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

I would highly recommend staying here.

Really good facilities and a lovely home that’s tastefully done. Negatives- bed is abit small, room is plenty big enough for a king size and the mattress feels like it’s dipped on the edge. Only one wine glass; meant my husband was drinking wine out of a gin balloon, might not bother some people but felt like we were back at uni! The parking space is small which is fine, just a bonus having parking! But the other residents of The Fold made it nearly impossible to park, blocking cars in and double parking. Oh and alot of cobwebs! Light fittings etc need attention. Sounds like a negative review and it absolutely is NOT! (Hence not publishing the comments on Sykes). We had a great time and the house is lovely, I have already recommended to some family who are wanting to book. We would rebook again if we come to Haworth again and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was well presented with all the necessary facilities that made the stay like home from home. The parking was interesting but not too major an issue if you did not have a large car. We visited a number of places whist staying in Haworth such as the church and the Bronte Parsonage. We had an excellent meal at The Hawthorn, it is very popular so you need to book. We also had a good day out on the Keithley and Worth Railway which featured in The Railway Children Film
