About this property

Resting in Haworth, West Yorkshire is Chloe's Cottage, a delightful, stone-built, end-terrace cottage, in a courtyard of private properties. Set over two floors and sleeping up to five guests, Chloe's Cottage is perfect for couples to get away to the West Yorkshire countryside with their furry companions in tow. A public car park is just a short walk away, before travelling to your new abode, where you’ll be greeted by a homely sitting room, where an electric fire takes centre stage below the wall-mounted Smart TV; surrounded by plush sofas, get the popcorn ready and enjoy a film together. Take advantage of the facilities in the kitchen/diner and cook up a storm for you and your loved ones to enjoy around the dining room table. Upstairs there are two cheerful double bedrooms with TV's, a single bedroom, and a shower room with basin and WC. Outside there is a courtyard area with furniture to enjoy an evening under the stars. Haworth is steeped in history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters; it has much to offer including traditional pubs, restaurants and cafés, and a variety of walks allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of Catherine and Heathcliff by wandering the fantastic, rugged moorland. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre, and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum. For a wonderful holiday cottage to explore all this lovely area has to offer, choose Erin Cottage (formerly Chloe's Cottage).

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.

It is in a perfect spot for exploring Haworth and the surrounding area. There is no parking at the cottage but the carpark is just around the corner and is reasonably priced.

Location is brilliant for the Main Street of Haworth, just 2 minutes walk from the front door! Cottage was very clean and comfortable and decorated for Christmas which was lovely :) Lovely welcome pack, milk, bread, wine and beers, very much appreciated thank you! Spacious backyard for dogs and to sit out but we’ve stayed in March and December so didn’t use the outside space :( Other guests have commented on the lack of parking but to be honest it’s not a problem if you can park in the Parsonage Museum Car Park and use the Ringo app, reasonable cost of up to £40 for a weeks stay. We didn’t use the car at all as everything we wanted to do was on the doorstep! Can recommend The Hawthorn restaurant for a fabulous Sunday lunch and The Steam Brewery, The Fleece and The Black Bull for food and drinks. Please note Mondays and Tuesdays you will find a few pubs not serving food and some shops not open but it isn’t a problem if you plan ahead. Definitely recommend a stay at Chloe’s Cottage, you won’t be disappointed:)

Parking outside was a sticking point, however the carpark adjacent was a god send. A few minor house keeping issues but generally spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was very generous. Have plans to return.
