About this property

This modern and stylish semi-detached cottage, a new build in 2018 is part of the Bridgehouse Mills development, a late 18th Century water powered worsted yarn spinning factory. Set alongside the route of the famous Worth Valley Steam Railway, made famous by the film The Railway Children and the Bridgehouse Beck this a great opportunity to enjoy watching the steam trains ‘chuffing’ past whilst enjoying the many delights of this modern and luxurious holiday home. Set over two floors, the main ground floor living area benefits from a high ceiling with automatic velux windows casting a light across the room to create a bright and cheery feeling to the whole room. The ground floor includes an open plan sitting room, diner and modern kitchen with a very useful cloakroom with disabled access and a cosy double bedroom. Upstairs on the spacious mezzanine floor is a further double room with attached bathroom providing luxurious, modern facilities. Both bedrooms look out across Bridgehouse Beck to the railway, so breakfast in bed with the steam trains wending their way up the valley is a great way to relax and unwind. Stylish and contemporary throughout with a large screen wall-mounted TV, and full-length window filling the room with natural lighting. The attractive front terrace is ideal for sitting out and enjoying an evening tipple and there is a further terrace to the rear of the property overlooking the beck. Ideally located in a cul de sac with just a short walk to the Worth Valley station and a ten-minute walk to the famous and engaging Hawarth High street. Haworth is famous for public footpaths in and around the village and some of the most popular walks are around the reservoirs and the Bronte Falls. Walk along Bronte Way visiting the Bronte Bridge, leading out onto the bleak moors where you can visit Top Withins. Skipton is nearby with its delightful castle, and further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, and an excellent theatre. A great opportunity to stay in a first-class holiday home, great location, excellent facilities and your own train set!

Haworth is a small village located in the area of the Yorkshire Dales known as Bronte Country and was the home of the Bronte sisters. Haworth offers interesting shops, alleyways and cobbled streets and sits amidst fabulous countryside. Visit the Worth Valley Railway, featured in 'The Railway Children' film or the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Skipton and Harrogate are an easy drive away.

With welcoming goodies. And is a lovely clean and warm place to come back to after exploring the local area. Loved the steam train outside the cottage. Well positioned for Haworth village centre and great walks from the front door. Lovely pubs and shops a short walk away. We also enjoyed Hardcastle Crag and Hebden Bridge. And the Salt Mill. Brontë waterfall walk, the moors and so much more. Would highly recommend.

It is well equipped and spotless. The heating was very toasty and you can see the trains passing as you sit in the lounge. The welcome pack is a nice treat. We have been before and will definitely book again.
